New LA - Bad Boogey

Strome Rd Records worked on New LA as a recording engineer, producer, and completed a full mix and master for a studio release for Perth funk outfit, Bad Boogey's debut single.

‘New LA’ is inspired by this beautiful place, and is an often tongue in cheek comment on how we are becoming the New LA. A beautiful, funky little beachside spot where we all indulge ourselves in the land, ourselves and the people around us, sometimes, a little too much so.

These boys have some serious musical skills, with the track featuring bouncing bass lines, compelling drum lines, pulsing synths, a beautiful bed of keys, some serious wah guitars, fierce guitar solo, and some SAUCY vocals. Seasoned with some really fun percussive and vocal elements, the track oozes fun and a swagger that dares you to try not to get your groove on.

The track was honestly so much fun to work on with them, and I'm proud of what we made together.
